Part Time Admin / Bookkeeper Wanted: Southport

A Southport client needs a part-time admin/bookkeeper to come into their office for around seven hours each Tuesday and help out, following the interstate move of the current admin assistant.

Tasks include writing cheques (lots of them), sorting and filing a heap of paperwork, and there may also be some data-entry work too.

If you’re looking for extra income one day a week, and are prepared to work for it, this may suit you. You’ll probably be a mature / semi retired person who is willing to take instruction and to follow those instructions without question.

There’s no time to socialise, so stay-at-home mums looking for casual work to interact with other adults, this is not the place for you.

Client confidentiality is of utmost importance. This position is more for someone who enjoys sitting quietly in a corner and performing specific tasks in a friendly but busy working environment.

The client has a huge portfolio of companies, and runs an efficient bookkeeping system. If you have some bookkeeping skills that would help but is not a priority.

For more details please contact us here stating clearly that you are interested in the Admin / Bookkeeper position.

Bookkeepers In Robina – How To Choose

How do you choose a bookkeeper in Robina? Bookkeeping is seen as an easy way for many stay-at-home mums who have been doing hubby’s books for a number of years.

How do you choose the right Robina bookkeeping service for your business?

So these mums decide that they’ll start their own bookkeeping business. Then they start hunting down some unsuspecting small business owners who’ve finally decided that they’re fed up of trying to do their own bookwork.

How do you choose the right Robina bookkeeping service for your business?
Some small business owners believe that they should go to a Robina bookkeeping company that has a number of bookkeepers working for them. One drawback to that is you may not always get the same bookkeeper working on your books. The company overheads maybe higher, and those fees can be passed onto you.

How much experience does your bookkeeper have?

Rather than the size of the operation, what’s more important to you, is the level of experience that your bookkeeper has.

We get approached by many bookkeepers wanting us to give them additional work. They tell us they’ve got many years of experience. Digging deeper, we often discover that simply means they’ve worked in “accounts payable” for a large company for the last fifteen years.

Our goal is to save Robina bookkeeping clients time and money

Is your Robina bookkeeper flexible?
Some Robina bookeepers only carry their preferred accounting software, and will then change your system to suit their needs. Last week a book-keeper told us that she only has Quickbooks software at her home-office. So if she finds a new client that wants her bookkeeping services, she insists that they change their accounting system to Quickbooks.

There are other Robina bookkeepers that only use MYOB, and will tell you that they’ll be able to help with your Quickbooks bookkeeping, because they are “fast learners”

We’ve had to rescue clients that have engaged inexperienced bookkeepers who thought that they could “muddle through” and it’s ended up costing the client not only time, but also stress and financially because their bookwork was badly prepared

Do your Robina bookkeepers save you time and money?
Find someone who can save you as much money as possible by properly advising you on claiming for expenses. Robina bookkeepers who have the most experience and expertise will save you substantially more.

Robina Bookkeeping: How’s Your Home Based Business?

Robina Bookkeeping: Is Your Business Home BasedHere’s a warning for any Robina home-based Business; it seems that the Gold Coast City Council finance department have found another source of funds from local Robina home owners.

The GCCC recently forced a homebased Tupperware business owner to lodge a development application to operate her business from home. Apparently the neighbours complained about the amount of traffic that the business was creating.

Ms Hert, who recently revealed to The Bulletin that she earned more than $200,000 a year from her Tupperware business, said she was shocked that she had been forced to apply for a development application.

“I’ve been informed that the infrastructure charges will be $13,000,” said Ms Hert. “If you add the cost of the planners and application fees, I’m looking at $21,000.

“If we were doing something wrong that is fine but we haven’t. In a good month, I might have seven people through the house.”

Something somewhere doesn’t stack up. If she had to go to work five days a week, there’d be more traffic movement in the street. One wonders how many other home-based business owners will GCCC be targeting.
