There’s a bookeeper in Worcester, Massachusetts, USA, who’s been charged with stealing around US $225,000 from a division of the Boy Scouts of America
She’s been accused of larceny. Allegedly, as the book keeper responsible for the regional Scouts organisation, she wrote cheques from the scouts’ account to pay her own bills, and to support the family business.
One wonders why there were no checks in place (pardon the pun) – did the committee never look at the balance sheet of the Scouts’ Accounts.
